My first Giveaway and Review, and my awesome yard sale finds

I am hosting my very first giveaway! The product is called My Memories Suite v2. It is scrapbooking software that is as easy to use as it is fun! I had never even tried scrapbooking before and never thought to do it on my laptop, but now that I have I think that I am hooked! I downloaded and installed it tonight and immediately made an album featuring my daughter. It is her Princess Diva album! Here are some of the pages from it I made using this ==> software.

Now isn't that awesome! My first time making anything like that. Now I will admit that I used a theme or layout (I can't remember which it is called, sorry) that comes with the software, so I can't take the credit for how the pages look, and also I didn't take most of the pictures myself. The pictures on the bottom four were taken by ReTa-Li Images. <=== click there to go to the photographers page on facebook. She is awesome and reasonable! I do take credit for how absolutely adorable my daughter is though!

So here is my review of this scrapbooking software: It is fun and easy to use. I chose to use one of the layouts that is provided, but it asks you if you want to do it that way, or to make your own. I went through the steps for both ways, and both ways are equally easy. There are many different backgrounds and photo placements you can use for your pages. There are loads of embellishments to use! I had so much fun going through and trying out all of them. You aren't stuck with just a couple of generic fonts and colors for your text either, which I think is awesome! I was afraid everything would start looking the same after awhile, but there were many ways to liven up each page. It allows you to either choose each picture as you go, or you can choose as many as you want to and it will auto-fill the pages with them. I chose each one in this album, but am going to try the other option on the next one to see how I like it. There are options to enhance your pictures also, like brightening or darkening the photo, or adding a sepia tone to them, plus more! I should have written down everything I wanted to say in this review, because I know I am forgetting some of the fun features. OH, before I forget, you can print your album, burn it to disc, make photo books, cards, and even make videos with it. Awesome, right?!?!

Oh, did I mention that the site has free digital scrapbooking kits and templates that you can get? I looked at them and there are some really pretty ones I am going to download and use!

Now on to the giveaway!!! One lucky person can get this scrapbooking software for free! Yep, that is correct. I am giving one of my faithful tanglers a copy of this software absolutely free. All you need to do for a chance to win is go to this site ===> http://www.mymemories.com/ and choose your favorite paper pack or layout. Comment on this post with your choice and in one week I will choose a winner! See how easy that is. Please only comment once so that I can assign numbers to each comment and use one of those random number chooser thingies to pick a winner, so that it will be fair.

Also I have a code that anyone can use to get 10 dollars off of the purchase price of the My Memories Suite v2.0 that I have been raving about. Here is the code if anyone is interested: STMMMS37866

Allrighty now, it is time for me to tell you all about the awesome yard sale finds I got today! I was so excited to find these items and when I got home and looked at them I was even happier! I went to the yard sale on an impulse. The kids and I had just got back to our town from a library sale in Oakland City and I had remembered that there was a yard sale sign just a few blocks from my home. I figured it was probably rained out or something, but we went by anyway and it was in the garage. So of course we went in. Serenity got a christmas ornament and a stuffed bear for a dollar and a quarter, Joey got a computer game for a dollar, and I got two cross stitch kits for fifty cents a piece and a large binder that says Vanessa-Ann Collection A Christmas in Cross stitch for three dollars. When I got home I realized that one of the cross stitch kits was in a baggie that had more in it! YAY In it was six kits!!! Five never opened kits and one that had been put together by the previous owner but never started. It had thirteen new skeins of floss in it! I was so happy I almost squealed, and I am not a girly girl that squeals (that is my daughter LOL).  Here are some pics of my finds:

Aren't they cute!

Hmm, I do have a new cousin due in a few months!

I am excited about my new charts!
I love my new floss!

OK, I think that covers everything I wanted to share today! Sorry for such a loooooong post but I couldn't wait to post about my yard sale finds in a different blog post!  So now I will stop and give everyone a chance to enter the giveaway. Tell all your crafty friends to come enter as well (and to follow my random blogging!). I hope to hear from all of you :)

Until next time...... Good Luck and Happy Crafting

(I am going to go make another album. One featuring my son this time!)

  3. Congrats on your great buys! The binder looks jam-packed with charts! How fun to find more kits than you expected, and lots of lovely floss!

Your Diva pages look great. Digital cameras are the best! No more waiting for film to be developed and wondering how the pics turn out.

And the scrapbook program seems very interesting, of course your cute daughter helps a lot to make the scrapbooking even more cute :) I would like to have a chance on winning it and my option would be Christmas Joy.
