Scott Zavoda's Bobby (a short horror story) Review

Having read and reviewed one of Scott's short stories before, I jumped at the chance to review another one! I was not disappointed. This was even better than the first one I read called Morning Commute . Click HERE to read my review of that one.

This story is a classic, read under your blankets with a flashlight, horror story. It involved bullies, a haunted item, and two brothers that love each other dearly. I won't go into a lot of detail, because I really don't want to ruin it for you.

My Review:
★★★★★

I really enjoyed reading this story. It brought to mind all of my favorite authors growing up. I practically  lived to read horror stories and couldn't read them fast enough. This book delivers a great dose of  "what in the world is going on?" along with the "oh @$*% did that really happen?" that I love so much.

Wow, I really wish I could tell you more about this story. I want to tell you about the haunted item and how it fits into the story of bullies and brothers! I just really do not want to give away anything in the story and ruin for you all that haven't read it yet.

The only complaint I have about this story is that I wish it were a full length book. I would have loved to hear more history on both the brothers' relationship and on the haunted item that I keep mentioning! This is the only think I would change about the story. It was a short story that was so good, I wanted more!

I recommend this book to anyone that likes horror stories, short stories, and stories of brotherly love. I would not recommend this for young children, as it has not only horror, but just plain bad people in it that might scare or confuse them. I would like to think that people like them do not exist, but unfortunately , as we all know, they do.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
