It's here! My son is graduating high school and moving on with his life. No more high school gyms, no more parent/teacher conferences, and no more report cards to show the parents. I̶ ̶a̶m̶ ̶ He is so excited about being an adult and not having to go to that place ever again, Of course now he must decide upon his future. Will he be working full time, or going to yet another school? He is still undecided.
In the meantime, he is far more excited over getting graduation gifts. He has saved all of his cash and Best Buy gift cards he received and is deciding on which tech he really wants to spend it all on. There is a large list of items he is wanting and maybe I will help him narrow it down. With the help of Best Buy, I have found out what kind of graduate he is.
He is the average teen/young adult Networker. He is a grad that uses technology to keep totally connected while on the go with a variety of devices. He is a tech forward grad that leans on devices to make life easier go having the latest and greatest is always a priority. So he will be looking for tech that helps him stay connects while enjoying his summer before he either goes to college or finds a full time job.
I found a handy list of gifts that would be welcomed by my graduating Networker. They include, but are not limited to, the following:
iPhone 5s
Lenovo Yoga 2 13" Touch-Screen Laptop
SONOS Play:1 Wireless Speaker for Streaming Music
SanDisk Connect 32GB USB 2.0 Wireless Flash Drive
Google Chromecast
iTunes Gift Card $50
Jawbone MINI Jambox Wireless Speaker
mophie space pack External Battery Case
Surface 2 64GB AT&T 4G LTE
Surface Keyboard Cover
Samsung S-View Flip Cover for Note 3
Seagate Backup Plus Slim 1TB External USB Portable Hard Drive
Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Dual-Band Wireless-AC Router
Speck CandyShell Cell Phone Case
SONOS Play: 1 Wireless Speaker for Streaming Music |
I think my favorite out of the list is the SONOS Play: 1 Wireless Speaker for Streaming Music. He absolutely loves music, as do I, and listens to it constantly. He has a large music library that usually he has to listen to only while in his room on his computer speakers or with his earbuds on his tablet. This wonderfully portable speaker would be a perfect fit for him as he does a number of his usual activities like lounging around the house, spending time with friends while hanging at the park, or just sitting outside, basking in the sun, while listening to his favorite music. The sound quality would be leaps and bounds better than his normal speakers/earbuds.
You can find this speaker, as well as all of these wonderful gifts in the list and more, on the Best Buy site at this link, so if you see anything for your grad you can immediately go buy it! I am still deciding on whether I want to just give him cash, a gift card, or an actual gift. I doubt I would go wrong with any of the items on the list.
They also offer a list of great gift ideas for grads that are Moving Out, grads that are Fitness Fanatics, as well as a list of gifts that are under $50. Whatever your grad needs, I am sure you will find something suitable at Best Buy.
