Acupress Product Review

First off, the disclaimer! I received this product for free for reviewing purposes. Even though I received it for free, I was under no pressure to give a positive review for the company. All opinions below are my own honest feelings that I had while trying out the product. I would like to thank my daughter for helping me try out this product. She always makes things a lot funner!

So here is the description from the company.

Acupress provides fast, effective pain relief. It comes in a 4 oz easy to use, mess free topical applicator bottle, which instantly soothes any areas of discomfort. Perfect and convenient to use whether you have headaches, migraines, joint or body pains, arthritis, or any sports and activity related injuries or strains. Great for the young and aged, anyone who encounters pain or discomfort that needs relief. Acupress is all natural and made in the USA, made from herbs, and comes with a 48 page guidebook to teach you how to properly source and treat your pain.

Product:

First off, this product comes with a booklet that explains pressure points for various pain. It explains, with illustrations, where and how to apply Acupress to help rid yourself of many different areas of pain, from back pain to sinus pain. I found this very helpful as I did not know where the various pressure points were.

Secondly, the product itself. It comes in a four ounce bottle that reminds me strongly of a bingo dobber. If any of you have ever played bingo before, them you know what I am talking about. The opening of the bottle is covered in a sponge-like material that holds the liquid and so that you can apply it without it pouring out.

Thirdly, the scent of the product. I found the scent of the product to be pleasant. It is not unlike a chest rub for congestion. Honestly, I find myself sniffing the bottle occasionally whenever my nose gets stuffy, as it seems to help clear the stuffiness. I am a little weird!

OK now my review of how it worked.

My Review:
★★★★

As soon as I received this product I tried it out. I experience back pain constantly and am always on the lookout for a product to help soothe the pain. I had my husband read the booklet that came with the bottle of Acupress pain reliever and then apply the product to my back. I noticed that it did help ease the pain. I won't say that this is a miracle cure for pain. It is not. It does seem to help though. My back, while not completely pain free, did feel like it hurt less and relaxed more than I expected.

She's a goofball
Over several days I tried it on my back using different pressure points. Also the book advises to use it all over the pain location as well as on the pressure points. I tried this as well. This worked the best for me. It makes me think of a nice muscle rub that I used years ago. It gave me that nice cool feeling at first, then some heat down in my muscles. This product seemed to help me more over time. Using it every few days has helped ease up my back pain quite a bit while doing my usual day to day activities. This mostly involves sitting in my chair at my desk working on my blog, which is what causes the most pain. I use the product before I sit down and then again at night when I go to lay down. I have been able to relax quicker than before I started using the product.

 always trying out products
As I said before, this is not a miracle product. My husband had me try it on him when his sciatica gave him pain and he said that it didn't really help much. My daughter tried it on her leg that she twisted at school and she reported that it did help. So I am guessing that everyone will react differently to this product, as with most products. Wow I say product a lot!

OK Now it is time for a cautionary tale!

My husband occasionally likes to goof around. Normally he is a straight faced stick in the mud! But watch out when he feels like being funny. He thought it would be hilarious to stamp my forehead with the Acupress bottle. Now don't get me wrong, using this on your forehead and temples is not a bad thing. It can help with headaches and sinus problems. What is a bad thing is when your husband presses it against your forehead until the liquid runs down your nose and into your eyes! I was lucky in that I squinched my eyes shut. It states plainly on the bottle that this is for external use only and to avoid contact with your eyes. It is a given with most products that you don't put them in your eyes unless they are made for that exact thing!
my husband's hairy calf

I started feeling the liquid running down towards my eyes and quickly closed them tightly. I do not believe that the liquid actually made it up my nose or into my eyes but wow there was some heat from it anyway. My eyes started tearing up and my nose quickly lost what stuffiness it had.

You probably think it sounds horrible! Me, on the weird side of the scale, started cracking up into the towel that my husband grabbed for me, apologizing profusely as he pressed it to my face. I laughed so hard that I almost started to cry. He sounded confused as he asked what was so funny. I replied "dear readers, upon trying this product in my eyes, I have decided that it is decidedly NOT for that purpose!"

Needless to say, he started cracking up as well. Long story long, my eyes were fine. There was no damage. My sinus were nice and clear. And, now we have a story to remember and laugh about over the years.

So, how do I rate this product? I think I will give it a 4 out of 5. It has a pleasant scent, it helps relieve aches and pains, and it is easy to use. It doesn't perform miracles, nor does it claim to. I will keep using it, though my husband will not. To each their own, I say. If you have occasional pains, especially muscle pain, I would recommend this product.

I thank you for reading my review and I hope that you found the information helpful.
