Toy Review and Giveaway: BathBlocks Seaport Set

a day in the tangled skeins of my life received a set of BathBlocks free for review purposes. Regardless, all opinions in this review are my own. I received no other compensation for this post.

BathBlocks Seaport Set

About The Product:

BathBlocks Seaport Set lets children build floating towns, bridges, towers and more in
the bath. The Seaplane and Helicopter add action, fun and imaginative play to the
floating playscapes.

Sometimes the most educational toys are the simplest toys-- toys with lots of open-ended possibilities that encourage young minds to think, to create and to explore. The best of these toys provide progressive layers of challenge for children to discover as they grow. At their very best, these toys encourage exploration, reward discovery and empower our children.

BathBlocks bring classic block play into a fun, new, fascinating watery environment.  The bathtub is the perfect place to create waterslides, ball runs, floating towns and more.  The “sticky” viscosity of water creates a helpful cling between blocks, and the movement, buoyancy and flow of water add an engaging twist to classic block play.

Special Note:  Dipping BathBlocks in soap or shampoo suds increases their stick to tub walls and other blocks dramatically!

BathBlocks empower children to create their vision as they experiment with geometry, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, balance, structure and cause-effect.

BathBlocks have won Oppenheim Gold awards.  BathBlocks are made from bacteria and mildew resistant EVA and contain no PVC or phthalates.

My Review:

I adore this toy set! My daughter is ten years old and I was ready to hear her complain that she is too old for this kind of toy. Boy was I wrong! She loves this set of bath toys. She was playing with them on my bed as soon as I opened the box they shipped in! I was surprised at how much time she spent building and rebuilding the seaport and playing with the aircraft.

Then she decided to take a bath last night with them. Usually she showers, but she really wanted to see how these work in water after I told her they were supposed to stick to the wall. They did and she was thrilled. She stayed in there for over an hour playing with the BathBlocks toys. She went and got some of her little doll toys to play with the seaport set. She said they would be the pilots and workers. So cute!

So I have to give this product a happy two thumbs up from me and my ten year old daughter. She loved the set even though I thought it would be more suited to a younger male child. This just goes to show that sometimes moms can be wrong! Not often though and I'll never admit to my kids that I said it. The toys work just like they are supposed to. I was surprised at how they actually stick together and on the wall so easily. They are a fun, creative toy for playing with in the tub, or anywhere else your child wants to.
